Hyderabad
(Telengana), September 11: In a harrowing incident that has brought shame to
humanity a 6-year-old minor girl was raped and brutally murdered in Hyderabad.
Her neighbour, a 30-year-old man Raju, is alleged to have committed the crime.
He is absconding since the date of the crime.
Hyderabad police
said that the body of the minor girl was found at the accused person’s house.
She had gone missing on Thursday morning, and a missing person’s complaint was
filed at the Saidabad police station in East Hyderabad.
After
failing to locate the victim, the parents in desperation had filed the complaint.
The police reportedly found the girl’s body at her neighbour, Raju’s house. While
shifting the minor’s body to Osmania Hospital for post mortem and medical
examination, the police faced protests from locals who also obstructed traffic.
The protesting
locals demanded strict action against the accused in a time-bound manner. Only
when the police assured that the accused will be brought to justice within a
month did they relent and allowed the deceased’s body to be taken to the
hospital.
A manhunt
has started and the police have reportedly formed a dedicated team to find the
absconding accused.
“The girl
went missing on Thursday morning and we received a complaint. Immediately, we
started the search operation but could not find him,” said Deputy Commissioner of
Police, East Zone, Dr Ramesh.
