Aligarh
(Uttar Pradesh), September 17: An incidence of rape of a Dalit girl has been
reported from a village in Aligarh district on Wednesday. The accused, Anop
kidnapped the victim and took her to an empty house in a secluded area, where
he raped her. After sexually assaulting her, the accused threatened the victim
with murder, and then scooted away.
Based
on a complaint by the victim’s mother on Wednesday, the police sent the victim for
medical examinations. The accused, Anoop, forcibly caught her, took her to a
house in an isolated place, forced upon her and raped her. He also threatened to
kill her if she shared her ordeal. The girl somehow managed to reach home and
narrated what transpired.
Also,
after information reached the locals, residents and members of political
outfits like BSP, Azad Samaj Party and Bhim Army reached Charra police station,
under whose jurisdiction the crime was committed, to meet CO demanding a quick
arrest of the culprit and protesting against the deteriorating Law and Order
situation in the state.
Charra
Kotwali in-charge Pramod Kumar Malik said that they have registered a case
against the culprit and the girl has been sent for medical examination and we
are trying to arrest the accused.
