Munger (Bihar), May 21: Bihar Police has launched a hunt to apprehend a 50-year-old man who allegedly raped a pregnant woman. This incident is said to have occurred in Munger district of Bihar on Sunday.
Police are searching for the accused, Naveen Kumar. Police informed that the victim's husband is a truck driver in Gujarat. At the time of the incident, the victim was alone at her house. The victim told the police that the man was continuously misbehaving with her so she told her husband about this which resulted in a fight between the accused and the victim’s husband.
The accused was apparently waiting for an opportune time to take revenge after the fight between him and the victim's husband. The victim, it was learnt, had to go to the house of the accused to fetch water for her household needs daily.
The victim narrated that the 50-year-old man used to touch her inappropriately whenever she went to his house to get water. And he also knew her movements and also whether her husband was in the house or not. Taking advantage, the accused raped the pregnant woman when the victim’s husband was not in the house.
DSP Nandji Prasad said the victim has been sent for medical examination in the local government hospital. And the police is on the lookout for the accused who is absconding at present.
