Banka, (Bihar), May 30: Police is looking out for a youngster who allegedly raped a minor girl in Banka district, in the North-Eastern state of Bihar in India. According to preliminary reports, the accused also allegedly filmed the act and shared it on social media.

The incident took place on May 19 in Dhauriya village of Banka District. According to the police, the 16-year-old victim went to answer nature's call. When she was returning, the accused Shamsher approached her and asked for a sexual favour.

When the girl refused, the accused tied her and raped her. He also filmed the act on his mobile phone and threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about the incident.

The girl was scared and worried that if the accused shares the video on social media, the reputation of her family would be ruined so she kept quiet. After this, the accused rape her again and filmed the act again.

This time the girl informed her parents about the incident. The girl's father went to the accused house to complain about this. But the accused family abused and thrashed the victim's father. He also uploaded the video on social media.

Left with no other option, the victim's father reported the incident to the police. The victim's father lodged a complaint at the Dhoraiya police station. The complaint was registered against accused Shamsher and his father Yunus.

However, when the police went to arrest the accused and his father, both were absconding.

Station in-charge Maheshwar Roy said that the victim's family told the police that the accused Shamsher used to molest the girl regularly when she was going to her classes. “We have asked the concerned social media platform to remove the video and we are on the lookout for the accused and his father,” he added.
