Balod (Chattisgarh), June 14: In Balod district of Chhattisgarh in the Central part of India, a case has been registered on June 12 against the Congress Party's block president for tried to molest a girl.


The victim made these serious allegations against the Congress block president who is a medical doctor by profession. The doctor allegedly took advantage of the victim when she came for treatment, said the victim in her complaint. The victim has lodged her complaint at Gurur Police Station. The police is investigating the whole matter.


This incident occurred in Gurur Police Station's Jurisdiction in Balod district. A young woman living here had some physical problem, so went to Congress's Gurur Block President Dr. Omkar Mahmalla on June 9 at around 9 pm for a check-up. It is alleged that when the doctor was examining her in his clinic, he tried to touch her inappropriately.


It was reported that the victim defended herself and ran back to her house. She told her family members about the sexual molestation attempt. On the same day, Dr. Mahmalla was also beaten up fiercely, allegedly, by the family members of the victim. 


The victim approached Gurur Police Station, on June 12, to complain about the matter. But she alleged that the police didn't record her statement correctly, which is not acceptable to her.


On their part, police registered the case and called the Block Congress President on the phone but he didn't answer the phone.
