Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), September 24: A horrific incident came to the fore from
Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur on Thursday. A 19-year-old girl was allegedly raped and then
pushed to death from the balcony of her employer’s tenth-floor apartment.
According
to police officials, the accused is a dairy operator who first tried to deceive
the police but later confessed to his crime.
The
victim who worked as a secretary to the accused was called upon by the accused
to his residential apartment on Tuesday, located in Kalyanpur on the pretext of
some office work. The accused offered her money to have a sexual relationship however she resisted and rejected his offer. Despite the refusal, he allegedly forced
himself upon her and raped her.
After
he committed the crime, the infuriated woman exclaimed that she would file a
complaint of rape against him. Listening to the threat terrified the accused,
he took her to the balcony of the flat, which is on the tenth floor, and purposely
pushed her down from there which painfully resulted in her horrible death, said
Deputy Commissioner of Police, BBGTS Murthy.
On
Wednesday, the police nabbed the accused and produced him before the Chief
Metropolitan Magistrate who sent him to judicial custody, said the Deputy
Commissioner of Police (West).
