Raipur (Chhattisgarh), August 16: Chhattisgarh Police is on a lookout for a youth who is alleged to have raped a girl in Raipur. According to the complaint filed with the Police, the accused youth and the victim girl got introduced to each other through social media. They became friends through Facebook. The accused managed to win the trust of the victim and called her to his brother’s residence and raped her.
He also managed to record the intimate scene on his mobile
and based on that, started blackmailing the girl. Last Friday, the complaint has
been registered at Kharmadih police station.
As per the complaint, the victim is a native of Kharmadih,
Raipur and is a 29-year-old woman. Last year, in November the accused Ashish had
sent a friend request to the survivor. The victim had accepted the friend
request and then they started chatting through social media.
Ashish used to send his photos to the girl and was in the habit
of asking her for hers. Over time, Ashish managed to win the trust of the girl
and took her mobile number. One day Ashish invited the victim to come to meet
him. The girl accepted the invitation and met him, and later he took her to his
brother's residence.
After reaching his brother's residence, the accused's
brother excused himself on some pretext and left the premises. Taking advantage
of the situation the accused locked the room from inside and raped the girl. He
also managed to record the act on his mobile phone.
After the incident, the girl left for her house. She was very
scared and did not tell anyone about the incident. After a few days, Ashish
started sending videos that he had recorded with the intent of blackmailing
her.
When she understood that there was no other option to
wriggle out of the situation, she shared the incident with her parents. Her
parents, took her to register a complaint with the Police.
Kharmadih police has launched a manhunt and is claiming that
they will soon arrest the accused.
