Chennai
(Tamil Nadu), September 19: An utterly shocking incident of repeated sexual assault
has come to fore from Sholavaram, a Chennai suburb, where an HIV positive
40-year-old man allegedly raped his stepdaughter regularly for several months.
The
victim, a student of class 8 who lives in a hostel, shared the gory details of
her ordeal with her hostel warden. The survivor told her that her stepfather raped
her on multiple occasions. It all happened when the girl was forced to leave hostel
during the pandemic and had to stay with her mother and her husband at their
residence.
The
victim’s mother is also HIV positive and after her biological father’s death,
the girl and her mother moved to Bengaluru where they worked as household maids.
