Kurukshetra (Haryana) September 12: A
girl who was accompanying her grandmother to a hospital in Kurukshetra, Haryana
was allegedly raped by an employee of the hospital on Friday evening. The
accused in this case is reported to be absconding.
The victim came to look after
the grandmother, who was under treatment at Loknayak Jayaprakash (LNJP)
Hospital, where she was allegedly raped by a class IV employee on contract in
the hospital.
The girl alleges that she was given
some intoxicant and when she became unconscious, the accused allegedly raped
her. The victim's relatives filed a complaint in the KUK police station so the
police recorded her statement before the magistrate and got her medical examination
done.
A case has been registered against
the accused and the hospital administration immediately has fired him after the case was filed.
As per the complaint, the
grandmother inquired about the girl's whereabouts when she didn't return till
3.00 am after she went to the toilet. The girl was found in an unconscious
condition in the toilet and Class IV employee Dharambir was also there. Seeing people
looking for the girl, Dharambir ran away.
After regaining consciousness, the
girl said that she had gone to get medicines. She said the accused gave her
some drugs. Medical Superintendent Dr Sarah Aggarwal said that as soon as the case
was registered, the accused was fired.
Further investigations are continuing and the police
is also on the lookout for the accused who is absconding.
