(Uttar Pradesh), October 9: A shocking incident of rape and abduction has been
reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida. The victim belongs to a scheduled
caste family and was impregnated after allegedly being raped by two men.
The
heinous crime came to light only when the parents of the victim accosted their
daughter on how she became pregnant.
When
she had no other option, the victim narrated her ordeal to her family,
explaining how the accused had kidnapped and sexually assaulted her. She went
on to share that the accused did not only rape her, but they had also recorded
the entire incident on their cell phone. They even blackmailed her, threatening
her that they will make the video viral.
The
accused had also forced the victim to drink poison and had hurled casteist slurs
on her. Apart from the blackmail of making the video viral, they went on to threaten
her with life if she informs anyone about the sexual assault.
Later,
the police had to register a case based on the complaint by the victim’s
family. The arrested dup have been booked under the relevant sections of IPC
like 328 (causing harm by poison etc), 364 (kidnapping or abducting with
intently to secretly or wrongfully confine a person), 376D (gang rape), SC/ST
Act among others.
