Meerut (Uttar Pradesh), 19 June: In
a bizarre case in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh in India, a man gave his wife over to a
tantrik in his intense desire for a child. The accused tantrik allegedly raped
the woman multiple times.
When the wife could not bear this
any longer, she informed her husband and her family about the rapes. The
victim's family registered a case against the tantrik and the police arrested
him. The case has been registered in Delhi Gate Police Station last week. The
police also arrested the husband.
According to the police, Tahir, the
husband of a woman asked a tantrik Ismail alias Bhura to help his wife conceive
and entrusted his wife to him. Tahir was unable to have a child and he thought
the tantrik would perform some rituals to help his wife conceive. Instead, the
tantrik raped the woman several times.
Tahir, a resident of Purva Fayaz Ali
area was married to a 30-year-old woman about one and a half years ago. Tahir
was friends with the tantric Ismail alias Bhura . The tantrik used to visit
Tahir's house often so Tahir told him that his wife was not conceiving even after
one and a half years of marriage.
Tahir said that he wanted a child. Believing
that the tantrik could help the, the man entrusted his wife to the tantrik but
the accused allegedly raped his wife. Fed up with the sexual abuse, the woman
finally informed her husband and her family members about the repeated rapes.
Furious with the rapes, the family of
the victim filed a complaint in the police station demanding action against the
woman's husband Tahir and Tantrik Ismail alias Bhura.
After receiving the complaint, CO
Kotwali Arvind Chaurasia took action and
arrested both the tantrik and the husband both. Prima facie the allegations
against the tantric have been found to be true and the woman's husband Tahir is
also allegedly guilty in this case.
