Lucknow, May 26: Miscreants allegedly gang-raped a minor girl and poisoned her resulting in her death in a village in Saharanpur district in Western Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, May 23. UP Police lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against the culprits after the victim's father lodged a complaint.
Local police have launched a massive hunt to nab the culprits who took turns to rape the 16-year old girl. The incident has set in tension in the village even as the police swung into action to nab criminals to nab the two alleged rapists and murderers.
According to the police the minor girl was allegedly gang-raped and poisoned to death by two persons at her residence in a Saharanpur village. The police, referring to the girl's father’s complaint, said the girl was sleeping in her room while her parents were asleep in another room at the time of the incident. The accused made their way into the room from the roof. They gagged her mouth with a cloth. The complaint said that the victim raised an alarm, following which the girl’s father chased the accused but they managed to escape.
“We took her to a hospital but she died on the way. She named the two accused before dying,” the victim’s father said.
“We have launched a massive manhunt to track down the two accused. Additional police force has been deployed in the village,” said a police officer of the police station.
