Jodhpur, May 10: A 15-year-old girl filed
a complaint of being raped and sexually exploited by a tantrik and two brothers
who were her neighbours for five years in Jodhpur city in Rajasthan. The police
said, the girl approached the tantrik to find a remedy for her father’s illness.
The tantrik on the pretext of
providing healing began allegedly sexually exploiting the girl. Additionally, two
brothers, who were the victim’s neighbours, and who were in cahoots with the tantrik,
also allegedly raped and sexually exploited the girl. This continued for five
years.
The girl became pregnant many times and the accused
compelled her to abort the foetus every time but the sexual exploitation continued. Fed up
and unable to take this any longer, the girl approached the police and
registered a complaint.
Jodhpur police launched a hunt for the
three accused who are all absconding. The police said the girl has been raped
several times for the last five years. The tantrik and the two brothers also allegedly
raped the girl in a holy place and they videographed the whole thing. They also
took pictures and used these to silence the girl. They threatened the victim of
dire consequences if she revealed the matter to anyone.
But finally she wasn’t able to take
this exploitation any longer and so she gathered her courage and approached the
police. Jodhpur police has register the case under POCSO Act and other relevant
sections under the India Penal Code and also sent the victim for medical
examination. Police is on the lookout for the three accused persons in this
case.
