Meerut (Uttar Pradesh), 11 July: Uttar
Pradesh Police is on the lookout for a Tantrik and his associate who are
accused in a rape case. A girl has accused Tantrik and his associates of
raping her.
The incident occurred in Lasadi Gate
Police Station jurisdiction. The Tantrik, a resident of Rashid Nagar and his
friends have allegedly gang-raped a 15-year-old girl, who is a resident of Garula in Amroha on July
5. The victim was sick for quite a long time so her parents took her to many
doctors and specialists but her condition was not improving. A friend of her
parents Tarik suggested they go to a Tantrik.
Tarikh told her parents about a
tantrik Afzal Malik. The girl's parents took her to Afzal. The Tantrik assured
them that he will cure the sickness so the mother of the victim brought the
girl to Afzal. The Tantrik told the parents that it would be a long process to
cure the girl with Tantrik knowledge so he asked his mother to go back home and
come in the evening.
Afzal friends were also practising
Tantra rituals along with Afzal. But instead of healing the girl, Afzal the
Tantrik, his friend Tarik and another friend gang-raped the girl. After this, they threatened the girl with dire consequences if she told anyone about the
incident.
But when the minor returned home she
told her parents about the incident. The victim's parents lodged a complaint in the local police station immediately.
SSP Vineet Bhatnagar said that they have registered a complaint and are on the lookout for the accused men. Afzal, the Tantrik and his other associates are absconding at present. We are conducting raids in the area to arrest them and very soon they will be behind the bar, Bhatnagar added.
