Siwan (Bihar), June 8: In a shocking incident that occurred in Siwan in the North-Eastern state of Bihar in India, a youth allegedly raped a 56-year-old woman. The incident occurred on June 5 night in a village in GB Nagar Police limit.
According to the police, the youth allegedly raped the woman and when she cried for help, the accused beat her up and threatened to kill her if she informed the police. The youth also took the old woman's torch while running away from the spot.
The victim lodged a complaint in the All Women’s Police Station on Sunday morning. Police have started investigating the case and sent the victim to the hospital for a medical check-up. The police is also on the lookout for the youth accused of the alleged rape.
In her statement, the woman said that last Saturday night she was sleeping on her farm when the accused came from the village. He first started behaving obscenely with the woman. When she objected, the youth tied her forcefully and raped her.
When she cried for help, the accused beat her up. She has injuries on her body, informed police. Before fleeing, the alleged rapist threatened the victim that he would kill her if she informed the police about this. He also threatened her saying that this time he had come alone but next time he would come with his friends.
Women Police Station Incharge Pramila Kumari said that that they had registered a First Information Report (FIR) and was conducting a raid to arrest the accused. We will soon arrest the youth, she added.
