Mathura (UP), July 14:: The police on Friday booked a 14-year old boy on
the charges of sexually assaulting a four-year-old boy in a village in Mathura
district. The accused was later produced before the juvenile justice board.
This untoward incident
took place when the victim was playing outside his house around 11 am, the
local police said. The accused lured the victim to a secluded place and
allegedly sexually assaulted him and fled from the spot, leaving the victim
crying and bleeding.
According to the police, the families of the accused and the victim live 100
metres from each other. The incident came to light when the victim's mother saw
him crying, following which he narrated the ordeal to her. The victim's mother
immediately informed the police about the incident.
Station house officer of Baldeo police station, Narendra Yadav, said that an
FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and
the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The accused has
been sent to the juvenile home after being produced before the board.
