Raebareli
(Uttar Pradesh), October 5: A shocking incident has been reported from Uttar
Pradesh’s Raebareli, where a 7-year-old minor who was playing outside her house
was raped by a teenage neighbour, a stone’s throw distance from their house, on
Sunday. The accused lured the girl to a secluded place nearby and sexually
assaulted her.
When
the culprit saw the condition of the victim deteriorating, he immediately fled the
crime spot. Later the 7-year-old somehow managed to reach home and share her
ordeal with her family members, which shocked and outraged them. The victim was
immediately taken to a nearby medical facility, from where she was referred to
the district hospital. Simultaneously, they informed the police about the
incident.
The
7-year-old while explaining the incident in detail said, she was playing near her
house in the afternoon, when a 14-year-old boy who lives in the neighbourhood
lured her and took her inside a tower nearby and raped her there. She reached
home with much difficulty, terrified and in much pain. Later, informed her
parents about the horrific incident.
Based
on the complaint filed by the victim’s father a case has been registered
against the culprit, who is a resident of Lodhwari. The accused is still
absconding and the police is trying to arrest him, said Ravinder Sonkar, SHO of
the area.
