One of the accused befriended the girl and asked her to meet him but instead she was kidnapped in a car

 

Ahmedabad (Gujarat), July 17: Police arrested three young men on July 13 for kidnapping and raping a minor girl who was befriended by one of the accused in Ahmedabad in Gujarat. One of the accused asked the 15-year-old girl to meet them near Godrej Garden City area in Ahmedabad but when she went there, two of the accused abducted the girl in a car and took her to a hotel in Gandhinagar.

 

A third accused assisted the two who kidnapped the girl, who is a resident of Chandkheda area in Ahmedabad. The duo raped the girl multiple times in the hotel where she was taken and held.

 

Police inspector K V Patel said that the three young men who were accused of rape were arrested. All three of them were friends and they hung out near a tea shop in the area. Police said those arrested were Shailesh Bharwad, 19, Vijay Shiyard, 19 and Vijay Bharward, 23.

 

The minor who was assaulted multiple times fell unconscious and started bleeding so the duo alleged rapists put the girl in the car again and tried to drop her at the hospital said the police. However, they lost their nerve and since the girl had gained consciousness in the meantime, they dropped her near her residence instead.

 

“We recorded the girl's statement and took her medical test. The three accused have been booked under IPC 376D for gang rape, 363 for abduction and sections under the Protection Of Children against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Further investigation is on in the case,” said Inspector Patel.
