Patna (Bihar), 11 July: Patna police have arrested two youths for raping a 17-year-old girl. One of the accused is reported to be the boyfriend
of the victim. The accused boyfriend called his girlfriend in a hotel room,
where he and his friend raped the girl.
According to the police, the
incident occurred last week in Patliputra police station limit. The accused
called his girlfriend to a hotel situated on Indrapuri Road. After the
incident, the victim called the police and told them about the incident. The
Patliputra police rushed to the hotel and arrested the two youth.
Police have registered a case under Protection
Of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) Act. One of the accused Ramzan is a resident
of Danapur and the other accused Parvez is a resident of Naya Tola Phulwari
Sharif. The victim is a resident of a colony that comes under Patliputra police
limit. The accused Ramjan and his friend Parvez both are in their early
twenties.
According to the statement of the
victim, Ramzan and Parvez are close friends. The minor victim got to know them
through social media. Ramzan sent a friend request through social media to
the victim and she accepted the friend request. They first started chatting on
social media and shared their contact numbers.
Ramzan asked the girl to meet him and booked the hotel through an online application. They both reached the hotel last Tuesday. After they reached the hotel Ramzan's friend Parvez also reached there and they both raped the girl. After the incident, the victim called the police and informed them about the rape. The police reached the hotel immediately and arrested the two youths and sent the girl for a medical check-up. The police also called the victim's family and informed them about the incident.
