(Uttar Pradesh), September 24: Another incident of rape of a minor has been
reported and this time again the state where the incident has occurred is Uttar
Pradesh, where statistics show an increasingly deteriorating law & order
situation, especially in crime against women. The incident of sexual crime
against the minor has been registered in Gabhana in the rural belt of Aligarh
district.
According
to the complaint, an uncle of a teenage girl found her niece alone one day and
allegedly raped her. After that, he often threatened her and raped her on
multiple occasions. One day a neighbour of the victim witnessed the crime, recorded
the assault on the cellphone and subsequently made it viral.
When
the victim’s father came to know about the incident he filed a report against
his elder brother in a nearby police station. Based on the complaint, police
swung into action and nabbed the accused and put him behind the bars. The
victim’s young neighbour who recorded the obscene video and made it viral is
still absconding and the police is still on his lookout.
According
to the complaint, the 17-year-old victim was alone on the day of the crime, sensing
this as an opportunity; the accused forced himself upon her and raped her.
Inspector
MP Singh of Gabhana said the medical examination of the girl has been completed
and reports have come, meanwhile the accused has been presented before the
court. The court has sent the accused to jail.
