Banda (Uttar Pradesh), July 21: A gruesome incident has come in light in Banda in Uttar Pradesh. A man chopped the head of a woman when she refused to have sex with him. The victim was a 50-year-old woman and the accused age is 40-year-old.

 

Police has arrested the accused in few hours after the incident. The incident took place on Tuesday night.

 

According to the police, the victim was living in Tindwari police station limit of Banda village. The victim was living with her husband and her family members were living in another city.

 

The woman went with her cattle to the nearby farm. The accused Ramesh alias Punna was having illicit affair with the woman. Ramesh wanted to have sex with the woman. They had an argument before this. The angry man chopped her head after the argument with an axe.

 

Banda SP Abhinandan said that the victim's husband lodged a complaint about the missing woman. After the preliminary enquiry, we found that the woman was last seen with the accused. When we caught hold of the accused he confessed the crime.

 

"I have personally visited the spot and we have found the body of the victim from there. We have also found the axe from the spot, which was used to murder the woman," SP Abinandan said. 

 

In the enquiry, the accused said that he and the victim had an illicit affair that continued for a long time. On the day of the incident, he requested the woman for sex but she refused. He tried to force himself on the woman but when she refused he chopped the head of the woman with an axe, SP said. 

 

SP Abhinandan said that they have sent the body for postmortem. After the postmortem report, we can conclude that the accused has sexually exploited the woman or not. We have sent the accused to judicial remand.
