Aurangabad, (Bihar), June, 25: A bizarre incident, a woman in Aurangabad in the North-Eastern state of Bihar accused a tantrik( godman) of raping her repeatedly in her dreams. She also alleged that the tantrik had attempted to rape her once when she went to meet him. A complaint was registered in Kudwa Police Station on June 23 and the matter is being investigated.
The incident reads like a horror story and the various twists and turns in the alleged narrative are unbelievable, to say the least. The complainant is a resident of Gandhi Maidan area had contacted tantrik Prashant Chaturvedi in January this year because her son was seriously ill.
According to the complaint filed with the police, the woman did the rituals which the tantrik asked her to perform for her son's recovery but after 15 days he died. So after the death of her son, the woman went to the Kali Bari temple, where Chaturvedi lives and asked him to explain how her son died, said Anjani Kumar, Inspector of Kudva Police Station.
The woman alleged that Chaturvedi attempted to rape her at that time but the spirit of her dead son saved her. She further alleged that since then Chaturvedi has been coming in her dreams and repeatedly raping her.
The inspector said that the woman had not complained to the police at that time. He said, since we had received a written complaint against Chaturvedi, we have questioned him. Chaturvedi denied all the allegations and said that he had never met her.
Since we have no evidence against Chaturvedi, we released him after filing the bond, he added.
