Bharatpur (Rajasthan), June 14: Rajasthan Police have arrested a youth for raping a 15-year-old girl. The incident is of a village which comes under Ding Police Station area of Bharatpur District in Rajasthan.
The accused Rajpal Gurjar is an employee working in the Water Supply Department of the state government. On the late evening of June 10, he lured a girl from the village and raped her. After raping the girl, when he became unconscious, Rajpal just threw her in the bushes and fled away.
A complaint has been registered by the girl's family and he was arrested on Saturday. According to the girl's statement, Rajpal lured her and ask her to come with him.
He took the girl to a forested area and raped her. Since the girl fainted, Rajpal took advantage of this and threw her in the bushes before fleeing.
Some villagers saw the unconscious girl in the bushes the next morning and informed the police. Police Officer Madan Lal reached with his team to the spot.
He saw the girl in an unconscious condition. A police team moved her from there and took her to a local Hospital. Her medical examination was done in the hospital and reports are awaited.
Madan Lal said that when the girl became conscious, we inquired what had happened. She told them what she had undergone. "Immediately we formed a team to arrest Rajpal and he was arrested in no time. We have arrested him and sent him to judicial remand," he added.
Rape cases in Rajasthan are being reported in large numbers these days.
